TD SYNNEX x IBM Cyber College
(CYBERCOLLEGE)
The course comprises six sessions, each lasting four hours, spread across six different days.
The world is in constant change. Cyber-attacks increase and their impact is devastating. Governments all over the world have recognized this issue and start to act. New laws are being discussed and invoked. One of the more prominent once are in the European Union (EU). Namely NIS-2 and the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). Under this pressure companies need to act now.
To meet these new requirements a wholistic security approach is needed.
It is no use to simply install security software in hopes make environments safe. More so you must integrate different tools to create an architecture solving modern challenges.
IBM goes even further integrating their modern security software stack with innovative hardware capabilities to create a unique cyber resilience solution.
We as TD SYNNEX are happy to welcome you in our TD SYNNEX x IBM Cyber College. We have prepared six sessions to introduce you to cyber resiliency concepts and architectures.
Session 1: Cyber Resilience College – Threats, Regulations and the Grand Unified Theory
To create a cyber resilient environment, you must have a fundamental understanding of the threat landscape and the laws. We will take a closer look at the current IBM Threat-Intelligence report. We will further talk about NIS-2 and the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and discuss its implications. To get it all together we discuss the “Grand Unified Theory”.
We look forward to welcoming you aboard this journey.
Sesssion Date: 17.10.2024 16:00-19:00 (CET/CEST)
Session 2: Security & Data Resiliency Concepts – Partner Experience Roundtable
Our second session focuses on fundamental security- and data resilience concepts.
Cyber resiliency is a concept that at its very core needs fundamental understanding on processes around IT-Security, Data-availability, and Data-security.
We want to create common ground for concepts and terms.
In the second halve we want to discuss with you. How do you feel about the current situation with your customers? We want to hear about your Cyber Resilience experiences in our Partner Experience Roundtable.
Sesssion Date: 22.10.2024 16:00-19:00 (CET/CEST)
Session 3: Portfolio Session I: Threat Detection and Response
To identify threats early in your environment you need sophisticated software that can be integrated in your whole environment. Cyber security teams need to be alerted to initiate necessary procedures to respond on the attacker. Manual procedures should be partially or fully automated. Essential software pieces to achieve this can be found in our first portfolio session that focuses on the IBM Security: “Treat Detection and Response” portfolio.
Detect skilled attackers before it’s too late.
Sesssion Date: 24.10.2024 16:00-19:00 (CET/CEST)
Session 4: Portfolio Session II: Data Security
Our second portfolio session focuses on the IBM Security: “Data Security” portfolio.
Data is at the very core of any company. In an age of multi-hybrid cloud architectures data is spread everywhere. Do you know what data you have and where it is? Is it stored securely? Who can access it and are those who can, allowed to access it?
Understand your data posture, encrypt, and protect it in your local datacenter, in the cloud or on the edge.
Gain your data sovereignty back.
Sesssion Date: 29.10.2024 16:00-19:00 (CET/CEST)
Session 5: Portfolio Session III: Cyber Resilience (Hard- & Software)
Our final portfolio session focuses on the Hard- and Software Storage portfolio.
Historically company networks and systems are designed to back up vast amounts of data in a short period of time to reduce impact on the daily business. In case of a „cyber disaster “, for example a ransomware attack, a backup is the last hope to get production up and running. Are you sure that your backups are not already infected? How long will it take to recover your entire environment with your backed up data? Wouldn’t it be great to identify a ransomware attack in your storage hardware?
Make your minimal viable core business cyber resilient.
Sesssion Date: 31.10.2024 16:00-19:00 (CET/CEST)
Session 6: Delivering the message and how to sell it
Our final Cyber College session focuses on the big picture. We want to show you how you can tell the Cyber Resilience story to your customers. IBM has prepared different sales tools that can be leveraged.
One essential tool for that is the “Cyber Resilience Assessment Tool” (CRAT) that allows you to get insights on your customers cyber resilience posture in a short period of time.
After you finish a CRAT-Workshop, you get vendor agnostic recommendations how to better your posture and prepare your customer for NIS-2 and DORA.
Sesssion Date: 05.11.2024 16:00-19:00 (CET/CEST)
