SharePoint online is changing its support for the way that we extend the SharePoint model. They are deprecating add-ins and by 2026 the current convention for developing extensions will cease to work and all add-ins will need to be ported over to SPFx.

This will have a major impact on the majority of existing SharePoint sites, in that they will almost certainly have some sort of extensions / add-ins.

To be prepared for this support companies should make themselves aware of the coming change and identify a plan to support their customers through this.
