This 5 day training is based on the IBM Spectrum Scale training courses H005G (IBM Spectrum Scale Basic Administration for Linux and AIX - 3 days) and H008G (IBM Spectrum Scale Remote Data Access - 3 days)
All materials are based on Version 5.1 and/or V5.2 of Storage Scale.

Day 2

- Unit 3 - Cluster management

Day 3
- Unit 4 - Information Lifecycle Management (ILM)
- Exercise 4 - Storage pools, file sets, and policies
- Unit 5 - High availability and cluster data backups
- Exercise 5 - Replication and snapshots
- Unit 6 – Migration Scenarios (V5 Fixes, Migrations to V6)
- Unit 7 - Describe and set up GUI interface
- Exercise 7 – Setup the V5 GUI
Day 4
- Unit 8 - Describe IBM Spectrum Scale multi-cluster (H008G Unit 1)
- Exercise 8 – Setup remote mounts
- Unit 9 - Cluster Export Service (CES) Overview (H008G Unit 5)
- Exercise 9 – Install CES
- Unit 10 - Describe CES Network File System (NFS) (H008G Unit 6)
- Exercise 10 – Use CES Exports for NFS shares
- Unit 11 - Describe CES (SMB or CIFS) Protocol (H008G Unit 7)
- Exercise 11 – Use CES Exports for SMB shares
- Unit 12 – Discuss different Authorization possibilities
Day 5
- Unit 13 - Describe AFM (home and cache features) (H008G Unit 2) - List the various Active File Management (AFM) modes
- Unit 14 - create and manage an AFM relationship
- Unit 15 - Define and introduce asynchronous disaster recovery (DR) (H008G Unit 3)
- If time permits – answer questions an go into cluster health and monitoring
