1. What is an IBM Learning Subscription?

An IBM® Learning Subscription is a digital subscription that gives individual subscribers access to IBM digital learning courses for a 12-month period. Subscribers have access to more than 300 highly rated IBM digital courses created by expert IBM lab teams. Subscribers can take an unlimited number of self-paced digital courses (without labs) and up to 9 self-paced digital courses with labs. Courses from all technology areas give you the flexibility to choose from any digital course in the catalog, including courses from Automation, Data and AI, Sustainability, Security, and Infrastructure. An IBM certification exam voucher is included with the subscription.


2. What types of courses are included in the subscription?

An IBM Learning Subscription includes self-paced digital courses that might include recorded lectures, simulations, videos, and quizzes. It also includes self-paced digital courses with labs that provide access to a live hands-on lab environment.


3. Are instructor-led courses included in the IBM Learning Subscription?

No. Instructor-led courses are not included as part of the IBM Learning Subscription.


4. Can I change the duration of my subscription?

No. Learning subscriptions have a predefined term of 12 months, which is not variable.


5. Are certifications included in an IBM Learning Subscription?

No. Certifications are not included in the subscription. However, when you purchase a subscription, you receive an IBM certification exam voucher to take an IBM exam [one voucher per subscription].


6. Can multiple learners use the same subscription?

No. An IBM Learning Subscription cannot be shared, and it is not transferrable. The first time a subscribed learner logs in, the subscription is associated with that learner’s IBMid.


7. How do subscribers select courses and track completions?

When subscribed learners log in to their subscription, the subscription start date, end date, and course completions are shown. Learners use their subscription page or "My Learning" dashboard to explore courses, enroll in courses, and track their course completions.


8. What happens after I purchase the subscription?

You receive a welcome email from lpsupp@us.ibm.comIt includes instructions on how to set up an IBMid, if you do not already have one, and how to activate your subscription. Once your subscription is activated, you can access the subscription from IBM Training.


9. I did not receive my welcome email. What should I do?

Check your spam folder for an email from lpsupp@us.ibm.com. Ensure the email in your IBMid profile matches the email that was used when the subscription was purchased. If you still do not see your welcome email, please contact IBM Learning Support by submitting a support request via IBM Learning Support (https://ibmcpsprod.service-now.com/its).


10. I have logged into IBM Learning, why don’t I see any subscriptions under My Learning?

Ensure the email in your IBMid profile matches the email that was used when the subscription was purchased. If you still don't see your subscription, please contact IBM Learning Support by submitting a support request via IBM Learning Support (https://ibmcpsprod.service-now.com/its).

12. What if I have an issue with my subscription after I purchase?

13. Does access to the training expire?

Yes. The subscription expires 12 months from the date of purchase. Training courses must be completed before the subscription expires. After the subscription expires, you cannot access any training, which includes in-progress courses, new courses, and labs.


14. I want to renew my subscription. How can I renew it?

IBM Learning Subscriptions have a term of 12 months and do not renew. Please purchase a new subscription.
